![]() So I sanded one corner of each tile with a nail file. The magnets help avoid situations when you'd want to reverse corner cut.Īfter that, I remembered that I heard the tiles are quite tricky to get off the cube because they fit so tightly. It almost feels like a speedcube - it can even corner cut forward, but not reverse. ![]() So I used this lube, and the cube is actually pleasant to turn. I can't praise this lube enough because I think it's the best lube when it comes to just making the cube better - not speeding up, not slowing down, not making it gummy, but just make it smooth and nice to turn. Then I assembled the cube and lubed it with QiYi M-lube. So what, I thought, I still have a lot of magnets, so I just doubled every magnet. Then I magnetized all the corner caps, and magnet glue-in was done.Īfter I assembled the cube and lubed the springs (I hate spring noise), I felt almost no magnetic bump because the plastic is so thick. Then I used this second magnetized side of one corner to magnetize all the edges on the second side. Then I magnetized all the corners on the second side by twisting them relatively to the reference edge. Then I magnetized all the other edges from the same side using one corner as a reference. Then I magnetized every corner from one side using the edge piece as a reference. I found the pieces were very blocky but they could actually open which allows for magnetization.įirst, I glued in one magnet in an edge piece. There is also Simplified version with fewer tiles.įirst, I wanted to look at the pieces and - crazy but why not - magnetize the cube. Today I got a Cubetwist DIY bandage cube kit!
